Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival -
The Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival is an annual event held in Rarden, Ohio, celebrating whitetail deer, hunting, and the great outdoors. It takes place each September at Rarden Community Park and is known for blending hunters’ needs with family-friendly entertainment.

Purpose and Theme -
The festival is often described as a “back-to-school supply festival for hunters”, offering a mix of hunting gear, food, games, and activities. It’s held shortly before deer hunting season (especially archery season) to help hunters prepare, while also attracting families and outdoor enthusiasts. 

Activities and Attractions-
Hunting & Outdoor Gear: Vendors sell rifles, bows, lures, and other hunting equipment.

Wildlife Exhibits-

Displays on fish, snakes, and Native American relics.

Games & Contests-

Includes the popular Lil’ Buck & Lil’ Miss Doe Contest, and other family activities.

Food-

A variety of food booths.

Trophy Tent-

Features a wall of deer heads for viewing.

Entertainment-

Archery competitions, games, and live events.

Community and Fundraising -
The festival is organized by the Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival Committee and helps raise funds for Rarden Community Park.
